My Rust Experience: A thought about overthinking code
I've found that in Rust, if I spend a lot of time thinking and overthinking a solution, then it's probably the wrong way to go about implementing said solution. Rust makes writing elegant code a smooth and painless process. Rust encourages elegant solutions. When I spend a lot of time thinking about how to implement a function or module that solves a particular pain point of the code, I have found that I had the wrong idea to begin with.
Rust's explicit encouragement to solve problems in an idiomatic fashion has me naturally writing better code than I do in other languages. It makes my code easier to maintain and extend!
Loving the experience so far. What are your thoughts about this?
