The best CPU for Rust compilation speed

C and C++ are notorious for slow compilation speed. That's why C/C++ developers try to get their hands on as many cores as possible.

What is with Rust in this respect? Does it make to buy a 64C Threadripper Pro to improve Rust compilation or does a powerful enough workstation is good enough for such purposes? Are there any benchmarks?

P.S. The best I was able to find is linux kernel compilation benchmarks, and for C it's definitely worth buying a multi core machine: https://openbenchmarking.org/test/pts/build-linux-kernel&eval=35ce619b6a825a1db1d30b053594ab5e7c8a3745 However, my understanding is that incrementality in rustc is much more developed than in any other widely used compiler.
