Tachyon - A high performance reliable udp library for games and IPC
https://github.com/gamemachine/tachyon-networking
Tachyon was my first rust project. It grew out of a unique vertical scaling setup we are using for game servers. And while there are a couple of good networking libraries out there, none were really designed for the throughput we needed.
For the average game Tachyon is going to be comparable to Enet or Valve's networking in terms of how reliability works. It's strongly reliable, and fragments are individually reliable. It has a notion of identity for connections, and also supports unreliable udp as well.
Where Tachyon shines is higher throughput scenarios. IPC for example. It's parallelism uses no fine grained concurrency. Internally it has no concurrency. The reliability model supports very large receive windows in a way that is very efficient for games and IPC (but not a lot else).
