Being Fair about Memory Safety and Performance

In my series comparing Rust to C++, I've gotten a lot of "every language has its place" and some tired arguments for C++. So here's my contribution to the pile of tired rebuttals. I know that most people here already agree with this, but I think I have some novel contributions to perspective and talking points, so here goes, my perspective on memory safety, performance, and \\\the unsafe keyword :-) :
