Why does Rust code compile into a single executable binary?
I've been getting into Rust a bit more recently, and I found out that whenever I compile my project, it produces just one binary executable. I was just wondering, isn't this quite inefficient? For example, compiled C or C++ projects usually consist of many files, like shared libraries, and then they have one executable.
So why is this not possible in Rust, or am I just missing something? I understand that compiling to a single binary can be beneficial for smaller projects, but is it really ideal for huge projects?
