OpenFare is a funding protocol for software contributors. Written in Rust!

With OpenFare you can split a $1 donation between every contributor in your project's software dependency tree.

Payment methods and a contributor split scheme is included within a crate and handled programmatically. Which means that:

Contributors can receive proportionate donations.
Donations reach less popular but critical software libraries.
Contributors are paid directly. Project owners don't handle funds.
OpenFare is free from gatekeepers or lock-in user accounts. A decentralized alternative to GitHub sponsors, OpenCollective, and Patreon.
