Hey! Learning my first programming language and wanted some information.

I tried to learn coding once several years ago, but my ADHD brain gave up, but Rust really, really appeals to me for some reason. Have some questions if it's not against the rules.

  1. Is Rust a good beginner-friendly language? I know some people recommend Python for ease of use and C to get "close to the hardware," but I'm curious where Rust fits in. I think me being passionate about it trumps the difficulty though.
  2. I saw a subreddit dedicated to game development. How does Rust compare to things like C++, the industry standard? I don't care (at all) about job availability. I only care if Rust is a good, solid language for game-dev. If so, why? If not, why not?
  3. Are there any big game engines that let you code in Rust? I know Unreal is C++, Unity is C#, is there one for Rust? I'm interested in making an isometric game. Same "view" as Stardew Valley, but not the same style or gameplay. Basically, if I want to gamedev in Rust, am I going to have to write my own Engine?
  4. Is Rust multipurpose? I feel pretty excited about learning it and curious if it does well with various things, obviously game dev, app development, maybe even web development, UI, etc.? Sorry if any of those are unreasonable, don't know a lot about it.
  5. What is, in your opinion, the best resource for learning Rust for a completely new programmer? Kind of like an "automate the boring stuff" but for Rust. Doesn't have to be automation, I just mean the style/beginner-friendliness.

Thanks in advance if anyone answers this. Really looking forward to learning Rust!
