artem 1.1.0 Release
A new release of artem is now available. artem is a cli program to convert images from multiple formats (jpg, png, webp, etc…) to ASCII art, written in rust.
This release features some exciting new functionality, such as
- Automatically download and convert an image from the web, by just using the the url. This is an optional feature (enabled by default), and can be disabled when compiling
- Center the ascii image in the terminal
- The ability to convert multiple files at once, as well as improved warning and error handling with output files
- A lot more smaller improvements
artem can be installed from cargo using cargo install artem or downloaded from the github release page.
It is also now newly as an aur package. INstall it with your favorite aur helper as artem or as the binary version artem-bin
Usually it would be available as a homebrew tap, but brew currently does not provide newer rust versions, but it will be updated as soon as possible.
