Is Rust ready for business logic?
Rust has incredible ergonomics, is performant, safe and stable. If I were to write a load-balancer, a web-server or database I'd almost certainly go for Rust.
However when it comes to business logic, it feels like there is a class of crates that is missing (something like Spring Boot in the Java ecosystem). Crates which would create abstractions like services, entities, repositories and the wiring between them.
My question is a composite one:
- does this crate ecosystem exist and I haven't found it?
- does the 'Spring' paradigm not make sense for Rust due to the underlying memory model or other factors? Should one perhaps think about business logic differently in rust?
- are you better off going for Java or Node for business logic?
- is Rust Language not a very good fit for business logic due to the fundamental tenets of its development?
Edit: I know crates like Rocket exist but from my experience it feels far from the experience of Spring especially when it comes to 'wiring' and dependency injection.
