Version 0.8 has finally released! It was a team effort, so I extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all the contributors (you can find them on Github)!

You can learn all about this new version in our brand new homepage and book! Much of the website design was done by our new contributor @Josicat.

Pretty much every aspect of the crate has been improved! You can take a look at the milestone to see what's new, but here are some highlights:

  • Type annotations for strongly typed, reusable parameters and rows.
  • Non-allocating ergonomic row mapping.
  • Both sync and async support.
  • Improvements to named bind parameters.
  • Improved query API.
  • A new parser powered by chomsky.
  • Row serialization.
  • Massive error reporting improvements powered by miette.

Furthermore, the internals have been improved to accommodate all these new changes, mostly thanks to our new maintainer @Virgiel!

I hope you will like this new version, feel free to ask questions or leave comments. Thanks again to all the contributors.
