Announcing easyfft! An easy to use fft library!

57 points TheTravelingSpaceman

easyfft is only a wrapper for rustfft and realfft. But boy-oh-boy will it make your life much easier!

It uses generic_singleton to store the data-structures used to do the fft in thread-local storage so you don't have to manage FftPlanner and Fft structs. This allows easyfft to implement the fft-related methods DIRECTLY ON ARRAYS AND SLICES!!! Phew! That's SO EASY!

easyfft also forces you to write your code correctly! Whaaat?!! How-ever can it do that?! TYPES! Types is the answer! easyfft uses types to restrict you in situations you would otherwise PANIC! YOU CAN'T MESS THINGS UP! AARRRRRH! That's SO EASY!

However do I use easyfft? Well good news! It's posted up on crates.io. Just include it in your Cargo.toml and you're all set. ALL SET! That's SO EASY!

But, "Mr Walter", I hear you say... "What if I don't know how to use it?" I've even thought of that tooo! Documentation!!! There's Documentation for DAYS! You get some Documentation! You get some Documentation! EVERYBODY GET'S DOCUMENTATION!

Can I hear everyone say... That's SO EASY!

(This is all in theory though... Feel free to leave some constructive pointers to where I've made my inevitable glaring mistake[s])
