I got a job as a Rust developer!
After working with Python for 8 years and meddling with Rust for a year, professionally and privately, I got a job as a Rust developer and I'm so happy. I care a lot about code quality and safety, and I have not been happy with the direction most Python programmers take with respect to code. The language leaves too much to the developers, hoping they learn what it means to write Pythonic code. I have realized that if you don't draw hard lines, most programmers will take shortcuts. I have loved what Rust taught me with regards to safety and application design and I cannot wait to start my new job!
