Resources for porting from Go to Rust?
Apologies in advance if this is more appropriate for r/learnrust.
I've got a moderately large golang project I'm looking to rewrite in Rust.
I'd consider myself an intermediate Rust programmer already. I understand ownership, references, and lifetimes for the most part, and have contributed here and there to a handful of crates.
I'm also experienced as a general programmer. I can read my existing Go codebase well enough, but some of the nuances are still a bit opaque to me.
I'm wondering what sorts of resources exist for someone in my position. I'm especially trying to understand how to reasonably translate between:
- goroutines and Rust's async ecosystem
- Go's interfaces and Rust traits
Totally willing to RTFM, but I'm largely unaware of any FM in this department to R. Especially since I'm trying to avoid the time investment of learning golang beyond what's necessary to do the rewrite.
Any help here would be welcome. Thanks! ❤
