It is amazing to see other language ecosystems use Rust in various ways for improved performance and maintainability

I was just looking at the Roadmap for Pydantic V2, it's an extremely popular Python library used in writing web servers for Settings Management and Data Validation

And it seems like the plan is to separate out a lot of functionality to a separate pydantic-core package written in Rust and expose bindings to it using pyo3 then have the user facing pydantic package add it as a dependency.

The roadmap discusses what benefit they are hoping to achieve using Rust, so I won't repeat that. But a lot of python packages seem to be using this approach of having the core functionality written in Rust for higher performance and better maintenance and it is extremely easy to generate Python bindings using pyo3.

Apart from Python we have already seen several tooling in the WebDev ecosystem using Rust. It is very exciting to see two of the most popular languages of recent times (Python and Javascript) turn to Rust and leveraging it's benefits to improve their ecosystem.

Do you have any stories of using Rust in your existing stack without doing a full rewrite of everything in Rust? What has been your experience so far. Was it worth it?
