Does C benefit from LLVM changes intended for Rust?
I like to follow Rust development activity but my understanding of LLVM is very minimal. I've noticed that a lot of Rust's performance-related issues are redirected into an LLVM patch. So I wonder, do C/C++ or other languages equally benefit from those patches, or are they just targeted to Rust? If so, to what extent? It would be nice to think that Rust is helping the broader programming community in this way.
