Worth learning C or should I just stick to Rust
I'm wondering if I should learn more about C? Or should I continue learning more things about Rust?
It feels like many of you already know C quiet good and I want to know what you should have done in my situation.
Background:
So, during my masters I have nearly only used Rust or Python and only really used C in a realtime course before my masters.
In my masters I worked alot with embedded systems that we programmed in Rust and I really like the language. We also created a compiler in Rust for a simpler Rust. My thesis work (that I am doing now) is to further develop a scheduling framework for embedded systems in Rust.
I have also been a TA in a course where everything was implemented in assembly. So I feel like I really understand how memory work and know at least a few concepts from that.
I want to develop embedded systems in the future and use Rust for that. But I feel like many companies still wants to use C. So is it worth learning good practices in C or just make sure I know Rust really well so I can be the Rust expert at work?
