Code runs slower locally than on hosted box

I’m puzzled why my MacBook Pro with a significantly weaker benchmark and poor network is running code 10-20x faster than my Hetzner dedicated server.

I’ve tried to cargo build/run with the —release tag, but no difference.

Any ideas? Thank you
