What should be included in a history of the Rust language?
I am working on writing a brief history of the Rust language and its development. I wondered if I could crowdsource some ideas on what that should entail.
As a starting point, here are some of the ideas I am looking at digging into:
- Key people - profiling some of the early and most influential contributors (i.e. Graydon Hoare)
- Key companies and sponsors (i.e. Mozilla)
- Early use cases and applications
- Key turning points in the language design (This one is especially difficult as I'm not sure how deep to go on certain RFCs, etc.)
What am I missing here?
Also, if anyone has resources they could point to for info on any of these things, that would be much appreciated!
