mqrstt: A pure rust MQTT v5 client implementation
Hey Guys,
I just published my first crate mqrstt which is still in active development.
It is an MQTT v5 client that supports both the smol and tokio runtimes.
Making it extremely suitable for embedded systems (my field) as a smol TCP connection can be had for 550~KB with TLS sitting around 1.5MB.
Most of the internals have been rewritten several times to try out providing TCP/TLS and sans-io.
Handling of messages is also different to rumqttcas mqrstt requires you to provide a handler object which is used to handle packets before acknowledgment. This makes sure all packets are properly handled as suggested in the MQTT specification.
A true sync adaption is still to come but will be included with later releases.
Any critique, input or issues opened are welcome! I am very dedicated to making this the go to MQTTv5 client crate for rust :)
Cheers!
