What is missing in the rust game dev universe?

Hi everyone!
I'll be working on my bachelors' dissertation soon and I really like computer graphics and rust, so I was thinking that maybe I could contribute something to the game dev world of rust. Any suggestions on what would be nice?
I was thinking on going after something similar to ggez but for 3D, yet I'd like to hear some opinions by the community.
