How Rust is making fast progress in web development

Hi community, here is my first post :)
I am getting the idea from several resources, specially https://www.arewewebyet.org/, that Rust is making progress in web development. People are considering Rust as a back-end language and there are integrations in Azure, AWS already.

Rust is thought of a system language and potential replacement of C++. C++ does not have any considerable impact as a back-end language as far as I have seen. How come Rust is making such progress in that area? Is it only the memory safety that creates the difference or are there some other factors to it?
