State of web assembly and multithreading/Performance?

Was reading about bevy and compiling to web assembly and saw this:

Performance will be limited, as WebAssembly is slower than native code and does not currently support multithreading.

And was wondering if this is still true? Honestly I just stumbled across bevy and after staring at yew and scratching my head about using it for making a game, I was excited to see the idea of making a wasm game with bevy, but was curious about performance? Is multithreading available now for wasm apps and this is outdated? Or no?
