What type of projects do you use Rust for?

Hi all, I have recently started to learn rust. I like the language, I would like to work with it more outside of hobby projects. But I don't really know how to justify using it, as I don't need the performance (full stack web apps, with ~ 12k request/minute). And it does take longer (for me) to get things done.

So I was wondering, what projects do you use rust for and why did you choose rust over other languages?

And if applicable: Do you think you could write your code faster in other language, and does the performance benefits outweigh the extra development time?
