Is it worth investing to learn and get into the language, with the recent drama? Will this affect future adoption?
First of all, this isn't a bashing or hate/negative post. I just wanna know you guys' opinion.
I'm a self taught programmer who mostly enjoys backend programming. I have recently picked up Rust and am having a blast with it and would potentially like to seek employment in Rust in the near-future. I was planning to learn and make projects or start contributing to some open source projects, in the next 6-12 months. I have gotten to the point where I have a baseline familiarity with the core concepts and data structures.
However I have been having some doubts with the recent drama surrounding the Rust Organization and some key names quitting. Do you think that these events can cause a big shift into the pickup of the language by organizations?
