Transitioning to Rust as a company
I'm currently running engineering at a small company that is exploring rust as an option for part of our stack. I'm looking for anecdotes and real world experience from people on teams or leads who have gone through the transformation from a stack like JS or Python to Rust.
This would be for a standalone application, no gui, not a full stack web app though its data feeds one. We need concurrency/parallelism, safety, high performance for scale. We feel rust would be a great candidate for our use case but I am afraid we are chasing the flavor of the month, as it were.
I'm curious to understand pitfalls, challenges, risks, or regrets; and anything that may be useful.
If someone is willing to chat in more detail, please feel free to DM.
