Does Box::new(T) move the T or directly construct it on the heap?

The first seems improbable since:1 - it would be slower2- how would pinning even work(Box::pin uses Box::new).But then I did not find anything in the documentation.

Edit: Same question about Vec::push

I have heard that in C++ vectors have a method called emplace which does the in-place element construction.
