How often do you write C and C++

Hello,

I am a new rust developer coming from a 5 year background with higher level languages. I really enjoy rust and would like to have my next position be one where I am writing predominately rust.

In my current work, I hop between languages often. I’ll do some Java, some Typescript, python, and a few more less frequently.

How often are you jumping between rust and C / C++? I don’t know these languages and well to be frank… they scare me! I have a fear of joining a company, being put on a rust project and next thing I know I’m spending half my time writing C++ and stomping all over memory I shouldn’t because I don’t know what I’m doing.

Please let me know if you experience this in your day to day, thank you for the anecdotes :)
