Did learning Rust get you that systems/low level programming job?

I am a Java microservices/backend developer, and I hate my job because there is no requirement/opportunity to understand the low level implementations.

I am trying to move into "systems" programming.

But I am confused between learning C/C++ and Rust, which one is a better bet to break into these jobs ?

So I ask, did learning Rust help you in making the switch to a "systems" programmer role?

Or were you all C++ devs who just learnt a new language?

Any help would be great.
