What's the non-OOP understanding of structs, impls, and traits?
I've heard structs, traits, and impls explained as a way to do OOP in Rust. But what were they actually designed for?
Were structs, imples, and traits (along with all their relationships) designed as a weird new way to do object-oriented programming? Or do I see it that way just because that's the best way to mimic the systems I'm accustomed to?
And if it's the latter, what does this "OOP" system look like in its own light? What's the non-OOP understanding of structs, impls, and traits?
