Success stories with Rust?

Hey everyone!

I think it's really cool that Rust has started becoming more popular especially at Microsoft and Linux with regards to adding Rust to the respective kernels, as well as more and more startups and open source projects starting to use Rust. However, all of that seems very abstract when you're looking at it from the perspective of either someone who doesn't use Rust or is either looking into using Rust and haven't seen any tangible benefits because they're not over the learning curve yet: for example, how long did it take you to get acclimated to Rust? What challenges did you encounter and how did you overcome them? These are both valid questions that are typically asked when someone says that they switched over to Rust.

Shuttle is currently looking for stories that we can use to promote Rust to a wider audience and to try to get more people into the fold.
