Newbie to Rust, what coding principles should I focus on?
I've been seduced by the Youtuber No Boilerplate, and I'm in the process of trying to learn the ins and outs of Rust. At my job I use mostly Python, and I've found that the more I write Python the more anal I get about clean, readable code. I realize that clean readable code is one of the main benefits of Python, and I think my bias toward easily digestible code is due to that fact.
In order to practice, I've been going through 2022's Advent of Code using this guide and I've learned a lot so far. I've noticed that the author of the guide really focuses on good error handling and safety (as in covering edge cases). I know that these are two big reasons one would choose to write something in Rust.
With these things in mind, what kinds of things should I focus on and practice while learning? My instinct is to focus on readability, but I've found that readability (with respect to brevity in particular) tends to come at the cost of proper error handling and safety.
