Does server written in Rust need containerization?

I am learning server-side development on Rust. I am coming from Typescript/Node background. For me, containerization makes sense for node/java, as it needs a runtime.

For server written in Rust, why do I docker? (k8s maybe for scalability, only If my app gets popular) Can't I just create a binary from Rust for the required server machine?

Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

atm, I am using actix-web, to write my server.
