What I learned with Rust during 1 year exactly
On the 5th of December 2022, I made my first "Hello, world!" Rust program, which became the first commit to a project designed to help me learn Rust by writing a game. The game is a kind of Pac-Man meets Snakes, that you can play directly in your browser.
Roughly 8 months after my first Rust program, and 250 hrs later, working after-hours and during weekends, the game got to be playable and half-decent. No sounds added yet, as I suck at those, but I am considering adding something in the future.
The game is free to play. Have a shot at it. I hope you enjoy it.
Written in pure safe Rust. Released as a WASM binary.

After one year, I can say that I truly love this language. But there so much more I need to still learn... I was way more productive in this language than in any other language I worked before, despite what many say.
And yes, the first 6 weeks were the most frustrating, as I was fighting the borrow checker left and right. But once that let go, I realized that Rust memory ownership paradigm is something I craved for, since forever.
PS: I am using bevy-0.9 as the game engine
PPS: I am not a game developer
