Rust as a general application language

Hi.

This post is triggered by curiosity. I am considering learning rust, and I was wondering how feasible is it as a general programming language and how widely is it used as such, e.g. instead of C# or Java?

I understand its applicability for low-level programming, but does it make sense to be used instead of the above two?
