Why didn't Servo become a viable option for writing cross-platform GUI apps in Rust?
I've been pondering this for a little while. Rust lacks great, native, free options for building GUI apps. Servo seems like it would be a great choice, use an embedded HTML/CSS engine with a Rust DOM API to make cross-platform apps using web technologies that everyone knows.
Why didn't this happen, and could it happen in the future?
