Rinf did copy a lot from flutter_rust_bridge. There are some changes, and some claims.

Hi Rust community.

Yesterday, u/fzyzcjy created a reddit post talking about Rinf codebase having a significant amount of code copied from flutter\_rust\_bridge. In fact, it was true.

The bridge and FFI code were generated by flutter\_rust\_bridge\_codegen, but since we needed to modify the underlying logic inside the bridge code, we copied the code just to modify parts that we wanted to change. We understand that FRB devs may have been upset because of that.

Also, we agree that it would have been better if we have stated the portions that were brought from others. It was our mistake that we didn't clarify the license and sources. We apologize to FRB devs for that.

To fix this, we added proper license files with this PR yesterday. We wanted to fix the mistakes that were lying in our repository.

Also, we decided to remove all the code copied from FRB and rewrite the bridge(FFI) code from scratch.

This huge PR made today completely removes(we believe) the code that was copied from FRB. It deletes 2 'engine' folders, alongside the generated code. All the FFI code is now carefully hand-written.

Further corrections regarding criticisms from the last post are on their way to Rinf. Thank you for your attention, and thanks for reading. Hope you have a great day. Good wishes to FRB devs.
