Rewrite a Go project in Rust

As a way to teach myself how Rust works, I’m planning to rewrite a Golang service into Rust.
How have people who did migrations like this or similar found the shift to be?
Also, what’s the preferred db orm on Rust?
What am I gaining or losing in this move?
