Why is rust good for working with strings?

I’ve heard this a number of times but given my current understanding it seems a little hard to believe.

I’ve got a small project I’d love to try and implement in rust where I want to search through docstrings in a python project and look for a specific section in them listing dependencies for each function and then create a day based on those dependencies. I don’t really care if rust is not the right language for this project, but I’d love to do it anyways just as an exercise in rust.

I would love some pointers on libraries or ways of searching through text that would be making the best use of rusts capabilities as well as some brief explanations of why rust is good for working with strings.
