Announcing pandoras_pot: An HTTP honeypot to crash unruly web scrapers by streaming an endless HTTP body with your favorite novel. Or just random strings.

For the last couple of weeks I've been working on and off on on pandoras\_pot (repo link), a tool designed to stream so much content in a short time to incoming connection that they will hopefully crash. It's basically a very evil web server using tokio and axum, that punishes incoming connections. If you're interested in some more context, I wrote an blog post about it!

While writing it, I just happened to write (yet another) Markov chain implementation (repo link), so if you need to generate text using second order Markov chains, feel free to use that!

Both are available on crates.io, along with instructions on how to deploy pandoras\_pot on your own.
