Spreading http 1.0 and hyper 1.0 among the ecosystem

Today, when I start upgrading axum from 0.6 to 0.7, I found the codebase of GreptimeDB uses a lot of crates depends on different version of:

  • axum
  • reqwest
  • http
  • hyper
  • ...

hyper released 1.0 this year, and reqwest catched up this weeks before. But other crates like tonic and many downstream crates are yet to be aware of this change.

Although with proper encapsulation, those internal various version won't affect enduser, but if you're trying to make some middleware, the low-level request/response is relevant. So does testing with older client with newer server.

I'm starting investigate all related crates and send PRs when I can propose one:

But possible it requires a community efforts to spread this 1.0 baseline.
