Interested in Linux kernel development in Rust?

Hi,

I was selected to hold a Talk at this year RustFest in Zürich. My talk is an introductory talk on linux kernel module development in Rust with the intention to get listeners to play around with it afterwards.

To make this as easy as possible I provide a repository with an example module and a development environment. Although the module is a stub for now, the tooling around development environment is finished from my point of view.

The Issue is: It works on my machine (Rolling release Distro, very new version of everything....). Therefore I want to test it with a larger audience before holding the talk in Summer. If you are interested and able to spare some CPU cycles for my project, It would really help me, if you try to follow the setup instruction in this Repo and open an Issue if something goes wrong. Additionally it would really help to get some feedback if the instructions are clear especially if you got never in touch with linux kernel development.

Thanks in advance,
Cheers Simon

P.S.: Building everything from scratch takes roughly 45 minutes on my Quadcore notebook. So bring some time.
