Laptop CPU compilation speed comparison

I recently went to the ASUS store to check out their 2024 laptop models.
There's little information about rust compile times on the current CPU's, so I installed rust and compiled tantivy on some models there to compare. Thought I share:

ROG Zephyrus G16 (2024) - Intel Core Ultra 9 185 32GB

cargo build 31.85s

cargo build --release 1m04s

ROG Zephyrus G14 (2024) - AMD Ryzen 8945HS / Radeon 780M 32GB

cargo build 29.48s

cargo build --release 34.78s

ROG Strix Scar 18 (2024) - Intel Core i9 14900HX 64GB

cargo build 21.27s

cargo build --release 28.69s

On a side note Core Ultra 9 185 and AMD Ryzen 8945HS are less power-hungry CPUs than i9-14900HX.

Update: As this was in the store, I ran the benchmark on Windows 11. (No time to install linux first ;)

Update 2: Compile times on Windows are much slower and not comparable with other OSs.
