What are some Rust practices you learned in a real workplace?
I'm a C++ computer vision & image processing engineer with 10 years or experience, and I've learned a LOT of best practices to make efficient, low-danger C++. I love Rust because most of the C++ best practices come for free in Rust, or are enforced by the compiler. And I also love that Clippy has lots of best practice feedback built in.
But writing Rust is still tedious for me at times. This is because I am still ramping up and getting familiar with the common practices people use the minimize the pain of working through such a thorough compiler.
I'm not so interested in learning tricks that folks learned while hacking on a personal project (no offense, it's just that I'm already doing this and learning on my own), though such tips and tricks are welcome. But I would LOVE to hear some stuff like the tips found in Effective Rust, that people have picked up from going through the whole development process in a professional setting.
Can anyone share? Input greatly appreciated. Cheers.
