Our Official Rust SDK and a Thank You to Open Source Rust
Fellow Rustaceans! We are excited to announce pgml, our official Rust SDK for PostgresML, and the rust\_bridge, the crate we the crate we utilize to generate our JavaScript, Python, and now C SDKs from our Rust SDK.
We have had the SDK available on GitHub for a while now, but this marks its official release on crates.io.
Maybe more interesting for some of the community is the rust\_bridge crate (docs still in progress). The rust\_bridge exposes a series of macros and traits that can be implemented to translate vanilla Rust into py03, neon, and C compatible Rust. For those interested we have a writeup on How We Generate JavaScript and Python SDKs From Our Canonical Rust SDK. We recently added C into the rust\_bridge and are working on interop with additional runtimes, like Go, JVM, and Beam.
We wanted to thank the community for all the effort that gets put into OpenSource Rust and are hoping that our contributions will be helpful!
Let us know if you have any questions, stay awesome.
