Has Rust 1.8.0 broken anyone else's builds?

This is the first time for me, a new version broke one of the sub-packages I relied on. Heard there was controversy with this release, didn't expect it to really break my small program.

This was the error I got:

Rust 1.8 breaking time package

Downgraded to 1.79 and works just like before (a year ago was the last time I rebuilt it)
