Program written in Rust running slower than JS counter part

Hi developers 👋,

I am a JS developer learning Rust.
I am trying to build a json filter in Rust (rjq).

When I am running this, it is running significantly slower, even the JavaScript version of the same program (jproc) is running much faster.

Could anyone please check and guide me in the right direction...
