Difference between Java annotations and Rust macroses, or do they make you life easier?
I see some people complain about rust macros as some compromise to avoid language limitations. But other languages for the same purpose use Annotations. Java itself has compile time annotations anyway. Also feels more magical, with heavy use of reflection.
Some people used to write Java annotations and Rust macros, what do you think about them? Which feels better with more possibilities or is easier to develop?
Do you still think that macros and annotations are just tools to make life easier or tools to avoid language limitations?
I like Rust macros more, it's just fun to write and they make my life easier. But maybe it's because of my lack of experience in writing Java annotations, I always try to avoid them, even if it's required to write some boilerplate code.
