At what level of complexity does rust become worth it?

I'm a front end dev but I've been working on an in depth financial simulation project. I've done the proof of concept in python but to take it any further I need to switch to something more performant, plus I need to package it as a desktop app to avoid having a server running these big simulations. This has led me to Tauri with Rust, and Wails with Go, Both would be new languages to me but I'm hoping to use this project to learn one of them.

I've heard a lot about both of these platforms, and it seems obvious that if I really put the work into it rust would be the stronger choice, but would the work required in learning and writing good code with rust outweigh the benefit? I've heard it would be a lot faster to get off the ground with Go.
