A Twinkle Tray rewrite in Rust
Twinkle Tray is a popular Windows program that allows you to easily adjust the brightness of external monitors.
Unfortunately, it is also electron-based and takes forever to start, which is really annoying as changing the brightness of my monitors is typically the first thing I want to do after starting my PC in the morning.
To fix these performance issues, I wrote my own version using Rust and native Windows UI elements. The result is a single 900kb exe, which starts almost instantly.
I've been using my version for a while to iron out all the bugs I encountered in my daily life, and I recently added the settings window, which was the last missing feature that I wanted to add before "officially" releasing my project.
