Gem from 2018: “Things Rust doesn’t let you do”

I get irrationally excited by posts like this and the next one from Niko Matsakis himself that puts aside fancier features in favour of trying to refine the basics (same for his post about "claiming"):

To me, the holy grail is where my programming FEELS completely unconstrained and YET Rust saved me from myself anyways.
